Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Gemologist / Jewelry Grader to join our team in Surat on a full-time, on-site basis within the Retail Luxury Goods & Jewelry industry. In this role, you will perform detailed grading and quality assessment of loose diamonds and diamond jewelry using advanced gemological tools, ensuring adherence to IGI’s globally recognized standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct grading and quality evaluation of loose diamonds
- Examine diamond jewelry and settings to determine quality and characteristics
- Use laboratory instruments for gemstone identification and analysis
- Ensure grading consistency and compliance with established standards
- Maintain accurate documentation and grading reports
- Collaborate with internal quality teams as needed
Working Structure & Compensation:
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Location: Surat
- Working Days: 6 days a week (Alternate Saturdays Off)
- Salary: relevant experience
- Notice Period Requirement: Immediate to maximum 10 days preferred
Qualifications & Skills:
- Relevant experience with 2 to 7 years in diamond grading or gemological assessment
- Strong gemology knowledge and technical expertise
- Excellent attention to detail and observation skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a structured, quality focused environment
